Overview

Smart Form Filler is a Chrome Extension that uses AI to intelligently fill web forms. This extension does NOT collect, store, or transmit any user data to the developer.

What Data Is Sent to AI Providers

When you fill a form, the following metadata is sent directly to your chosen AI provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek, or Google Gemini):

Form field labels (e.g., "Full Name", "Email Address")
Form field types (text, textarea, select)
Placeholder text
Surrounding form context (section headings)
Your saved user profile (only if you enter it in Settings)

Never sent: Passwords, credit card numbers, existing form values, browsing history, personal files.

API Key Storage

Your API key is stored in chrome.storage.sync — Chrome's built-in encrypted storage tied to your Google account. It is used exclusively to authenticate requests to your AI provider.

No Developer Servers

All network requests go directly from your browser to your AI provider. There are no intermediary servers, no data collection, and no developer-operated infrastructure.

No Analytics or Tracking

This extension contains absolutely zero:

Google Analytics
Tracking pixels
Telemetry or crash reporting
Usage statistics collection
Cookies (beyond Chrome's extension storage)

Permissions Explained

Permission	Why It's Needed
`activeTab`	Read form fields on the current page when you activate the extension
`storage`	Save your API key and user profile locally
`contextMenus`	Add "AI Fill This Form" to the right-click menu
`scripting`	Inject the form-filling script when needed

Third-Party Services

This extension integrates with these AI provider APIs. Your use of each is governed by their respective policies:

Data Retention

Your API key and profile: stored locally until you clear them
Form data: never retained by the extension
AI provider data retention: refer to each provider's policy

Children's Privacy

This extension is not directed at children under 13.
